Between 1981 and 2004 I worked with the design of video
subtitling systems and founded my company ScanTitling AB in 1988.
In 1990 I received the Swedish High-tech prize "Silverbobinen" from SSFT, The
Swedish Society of Film- and Television Engineers, for developing the
worlds
first PC-based subtitling system
That involved hardware construction, assembler programming and pcb design as
well as
adaption to a lot of languages such as Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, Greek,
Hebrew, Russian and Thai besides all other languages based on the latin alphabet. The last product in the line was a subtitle generator for
serial digital video. All these products were marketed by
Cavena Image
Products AB. After 2004 the vast majority of the video industri
had switched to MPEG and I decided to do something else. |
